My wife and I along with my brother & sister-in -law stayed at ABBA Ramblas May 9, 2009 and left May 10th for a cruise on the Med. Very nicely appointed hotel. The rooms were spotlless, beds very comfortable.Rooms are small but that should not be a problem for most. Each room had a pvt bathroom. Air conditioned (must keep Balcony window closed or it dosen't work.) It had an elevator that actually worked. Staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was excellent. About 13 E a person. The front street could be noisy during the wee hours of the night. We kept the balcony windows closed, so it wasn't bad. The hotel is located about 4 streets off of the RAMBLAS and can be considered a bit 'seedy' as darkness arrives. Fine during the day time hours. Not too great at night. A cab stand is located across the street and to the right about 1/2 block. A nice resturant was also almost directly across the street named FARRAUGET or something close to that. It's Viet Nam cusiene but fairly priced chicken and rice & vegs along with other dishes like strip steak etc are available and are very good. Prices were about 8 or 9 E's a person. Clean & cheap for that area.
